Born in Glasgow, Kyle has always had a huge passion and drive for music and sound. He gained a place at the Junior Department of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland at age 15 and began weekly flute lessons.

Kyle moved to London in 2013 to complete an undergraduate degree in Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. He chose his studies around in-depth film & game composition, orchestration and performance classes.

In his first year recital, Kyle performed his own flute and piano reduction of selected movements from Igor Stravinsky’s “The Firebird”. It was very well received by the examiners and Schott Music who agreed to publish the music score with the permission from Stravinsky’s estate.

After completing his first degree, Kyle went back to Goldsmiths to start a Masters Degree in Creative Practices. During this time he furthered his knowledge in film and game music and began learning studio recording & electronic music production.

During this time, Goldsmiths were approached by EMI to help compile an experimental album for their production music library. Kyle submitted a short piece and was one of the selected students to have his work published on EMI’s Production Music Library.

Since graduating from University, Kyle has also completed location recording training at MAMA Youth Project as a Sound Operator for TV Broadcast at Sky Campus in Osterley. He has also been involved in the sound recording and post-production editing of various short films and TV shows.
